VISIONAR continues to grow: Thanks to the support of our generous donors and to the continued dedication of Atrapasueños members and volunteers, three new students now enjoy full scholarships to attend college.

Gastón Alberto Madera, María Ángela Contreras, and Maximiliano Alejandro Senno were selected in January 2010 for their academic performance and leadership potential to receive VISIONAR scholarships. They join continuing scholars EmilianoGudiño (now in his 4th year), Carolina González, Elizabeth Quinteros and Karen Centurión (all three scholars starting their 2nd year of college).

Gastón enrolled in Agronomy studies; María Ángela will pursue Business Administration and Economics, and Maximiliano started a Chemical Engineering program at Universidad Tecnol ógica Nacional in San Francisco, Argentina.

Gastón shared with us: “My dream to become an agronomic engineer is now much more achievable (with VISIONAR’s help)”. María Angela received the announcement of her scholarship the day before her 18th birthday and commented, “The VISIONAR scholarship was the best birthday present; it which will allow me to pursue a degree in Business Administration and Economics. I am very happy.” “

We see declining enrollment in universities, because many people have to go to work, but getting an education is the best thing we can do for ourselves,” Maximiliano said. “This scholarship is an incentive and a double challenge: to achieve my academic objectives, and to give back to the VISIONAR team that believes in me.”
